Are you considering a Biltmore Estate Annual Pass but not sure if it’s worth it?
Keep reading and I’ll share with you what I love and what I hate about my Biltmore Annual pass, and I’ll also give you a break down of how much I saved with my pass in 2023.
Let’s be real, a trip to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina can be a bit heavy on the pocket. When you check out the cost of scoring a Biltmore Annual Pass, it’s enough to make you pause and ponder, “Is paying the amount for the annual pass really worth it, or should I just stick with a one-time ticket?”
Worry not! I’m here to tell you about 12 things that personally make my heart skip a beat (in a good way) and the 2 things that, well, let’s just say they don’t quite make the cut on my Biltmore Estate Annual Pass excitement scale.
Stick around, and by the time we’re done, you’ll have all you need to know to decide whether the benefits of a Biltmore Annual pass outweigh the cost of a one-time ticket.

12 Things I Love About My Biltmore Estate Annual Pass
1. I Can Visit Biltmore Estate Whenever I Want For No Extra Cost

There are countless reasons to visit Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC even if you’ve explored its wonders multiple times. Witness the ever-changing beauty of the gardens with each passing season.
Maybe you’re just passing through Asheville on HWY 40 during your journey, as I did when I was on my way to Tennessee, and Biltmore was the perfect place to stop and have lunch along my journey.
Delight in special events such as outdoor movie nights, craft fairs, and the chance to visit the farm animals—especially to see if any adorable new babies have arrived.
If you’re seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Biltmore gives a definite “away-from-it-all” vibe that can truly soothe the soul.

Perhaps you’re captivated by the farm-to-table offerings that Biltmore provides—after all, who can resist the allure of fresh, locally sourced delights?
Alternatively, it might be a spontaneous “what the heck” moment, and you find yourself yearning to go somewhere, but you’re not quite sure where. Regardless of the reason, Biltmore holds a special place as one of my favorite “whenever-I-want-to” destinations.
For instance, this year I felt compelled to witness the sunflowers at Biltmore, and so I did. It was a breathtaking sight and had a bit of lunch since I stopped by too. While I might not consider it worthy of a full grounds admission price, the fact that I could access the grounds for a couple short hours at no extra cost made it a perfect experience!

Next year I hope to pop over to Biltmore to catch a concert or movie at the bandstand or shop at the annual craft fair.
There’s always new and exciting things to do and see beyond the house and gardens at Biltmore. And of course, there’s always Biltmore wine to enjoy which is always better when sipped in the tranquil Biltmore atmosphere!

2. Touring the House For No Extra Cost
Is it worth touring the Biltmore House more than once? In my opinion, yes!
The curators at Biltmore are always hard at work preserving new pieces and opening new rooms. Every time I’ve toured the house, I’ve discovered something new. Even with the rooms that are always open, I’m consistently fascinated by the ornate details of the room, finding something new that I never noticed before.
It’s fun to be on the lookout for the secret, hidden doors located throughout the Biltmore House! Zoom in to this photo and you’re sure to find it!

3. Discounts On Shops, Activities, Special Exhibits & Dining
In addition to what you’re already saving, you’ll also get:
- 10% discounts on shopping and dining
- Up to25% off of wine purchases
- Get discounts on tours, wine experiences, activities, special exhibits and guest tickets. In 2023 my Biltmore annual pass allowed me to save $13.75 on a Red Wine and Chocolate Tasting Tour, $13 on a Backstairs Tour.

- Save on overnight stays at the Village Hotel, The Inn or one of the Biltmore Cottages. I saved $50 on my stay at the Village Hotel in 2023
- After 4PM anyone that fits into your car can join in at Antler Hill Village and Winery at no extra cost.
- Get Exclusive savings on select special events such as art exhibits and Candlelight Christmas Evenings. In Jan. 2023 I personally saved $69.00 on a ticket to see the Da Vinci Art Immersion Experience.

4. Attend Select Special Events and Exhibits at No Extra Cost
Biltmore keeps their exhibits and special events constantly updated and thrilling, ensuring there’s always something new to discover.
As a pass holder, you get to enjoy these fabulous experiences at no extra cost. Here’s a glimpse, but the list goes beyond:

5. Bringing Friends After 4PM For FREE!
Normally it costs anywhere between $40-$85 to gain access to the Biltmore Estate Grounds and all that Antler Hill Village has to offer. However as a pass holder, you can fill your car up with your friends, and whoever can fit, can enjoy the delights of the Estate Grounds and Antler Hill Village with you for no additional cost.

6. Unlimited Access to Biltmore Gardens, Grounds and Antler Hill Village
The grounds, gardens, and goings-on at Antler Hill Village are like a lively dance with the changing seasons. There’s always new exhibits to see and activities to enjoy.
And hey, why not spice it up by attending the annual craft fair or catching some free demos and workshops at the barn?
Picture this: a boat ride or a lazy afternoon picnic by the lagoon. Bliss, right?

Whether you’re soaking in the ever-changing beauty of the estate or diving into an activity, or just looking to escape the world for an hour or two, there’s always something new to discover.
With the season pass, I’ve got the golden ticket to enjoy Biltmore’s peaceful and beautiful vibes throughout the year, all without breaking the bank. It’s like having a backstage pass to Mother Nature’s favorite show!
7. Seeing the Estate in All The Season
I love to experience the blossoming beauty of spring, the lavish summer foliage, the calico colors of fall, and the winter wonderland that blankets the estate—it’s a sensory fiesta that never loses its charm!

Thanks to my Biltmore Estate Annual Pass, I get a front-row seat to this natural extravaganza without any additional costs. It’s like having my very own personal oasis, where the seasons throw a perpetual celebration for my senses. 🌷🍃🍂
8. Special Events & Perks
As an annual pass holder there are additional special events and perks that are not open to the general public. Some of them include:
- Annual Passholder Savings Days Such As Holiday and Off Season Pricing Specials!
- Get ready for the Annual Passholder Appreciation Event – it’s basically the Super Bowl of Discounts! My birthday happens to be in January, right smack in the middle of the Passholder Savings Appreciation event. Last year, I rode the savings wave and scored a fantastic 25% off on a cozy stay at the Village Hotel. Plus, there were bonus discounts on shopping, dining, and tours. This year, I’m planning to make it a birthday tradition. Only this time I’m going to level up and indulge in a stay at the fabulous Inn!

- Feast your eyes on the Deerpark Dinner Series, offering passholder events like the glamorous Holiday Dinner Dance.
- Speaking of smart spending, let me share my recent triumph: I just renewed my Biltmore Estate Annual Pass for the 2024 season. While the pass usually costs a cool $299, my savvy renewal move only set me back $148.73 – and that’s including taxes and fees. Cha-ching!

- And guess what? The perks keep coming. Ever dreamt of dining at the Inn’s swanky Dining Room? Normally, it’s an exclusive privilege for guests of the Inn, Village Hotel, or the Cottages. But during certain months, us pass holders get the VIP treatment – we can make reservations without having to book an overnight stay. Talk about dining in style!
9. Flexibility To Go For a Short or Long Visit
Back in the days of paying for a single-use ticket, it felt like I had to squeeze every ounce of value from it by practically setting up camp at the Estate. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m all for epic, full-day adventures at Biltmore. But let’s be real, sometimes I just want a quick fix of Biltmore brilliance.

Maybe it’s a fleeting visit to witness the gardens’ glow-up since my last visit, catching a flick at Antler Hill Village, watching the sun set from a different vantage point, trying a new tour or activity or diving into one of those cool free exhibits. Oh, and let’s not forget the joy of a leisurely stroll or bike ride on what’s probably the safest trail in Asheville.
With my annual pass in hand, every trip to Biltmore feels like a victory lap. I’m practically high-fiving myself for being a savvy spender and time master. Stress and guilt? Nowhere to be found. It’s just me, the Beautiful Estate, and a whole lot of guilt-free splendor!

First, come to Biltmore for the House and Grounds. Then, come back to Biltmore again and again to explore how much the Estate has to offer!
10. A Safe Oasis in The City
As much as I adore trotting around the globe, let’s face it – we’ve got to keep an eye on safety. Unfortunately, we live in a world where some people didn’t get the memo about playing nice, and that’s why we need to be a bit body guard-ish in protecting our stuff and ourselves.

But fear not because when it comes to the Biltmore Estate, safety is like their middle name (okay, maybe it’s not, but you catch my drift). Picture this: exclusive access and limited entry to ticket holders, and the Biltmore police making sure everyone’s on their best behavior. It’s like a VIP security party, and guess what? Theft and assault are not on the guest list.

Biltmore Gate Security Making Sure Only Those with Tickets or Annual Passes Can Enter
I went on a deep-dive mission, like an internet detective, trying to uncover tales of security breaches at Biltmore. Guess what I found? One. Just one incident in 2018 – a guy attempting a ticketless entry with a side of illegal substances in his car. Kudos to the Biltmore police for shutting that party down before it even started.
Now, let’s talk cold, hard cash – the ticket or grounds admission fee make it a bit too pricey for petty criminals. Most are not gonna shell out that kind of dough just for a chance to swipe your sunglasses.
And here’s the kicker: Biltmore is like a mini fortress. It’s not a quick snatch-and-grab operation. It’s a good few miles from the ticketing and reception to the Biltmore house and Antler Hill Village Criminals aren’t exactly lining up for a marathon of mischief.

Sure, I’m not saying throw caution to the wind. Lock your car, keep your street smarts sharp – basic survival stuff. But the minute I drive through Biltmore’s main entrance gate, it’s like I’ve entered a safety bubble. My guard drops, and it’s almost like my fight or flight is on vacation. That feeling isn’t lost on me, and I hope you’ll be able to feel it too.
Confession time: I once left my car accidentally unlocked in a Biltmore parking lot and realized my “oopsie” while I was touring the house and gardens.
*Cue panic mode.
But lo and behold, after a worry-filled absence, I found my car just the way I left it – untouched and drama-free. Phew!!!!
So yeah, keep your wits about you, but revel in the fact that when you’re at the Estate, it’s a bit like a holiday for your inner superhero.
11. Satisfaction in Knowing I’m Helping to Preserve a Historic Landmark and Supporting Local Workers

I never regret a dime spent at Biltmore. I genuinely feel great about every dollar I drop on my pass, events, exhibits, shops, and restaurants there. It warms my heart to know that my money goes toward preserving the Estate and creating quality jobs for the lovely locals. It’s like my tourist dollars are on a mission to do good!
12. It’s A Picture and Video Paradise!
If you’re a picture and video fanatic like me, you’ll love all the Instagramable places around the Estate. The architecture, gardens, trails, and unique atmosphere of the Estate set the perfect stage for pictures or video takers.
The Biltmore Grounds are also a lovely place to plan a professional photo shoot. While I’ve never done a professional shoot before, I’ve enjoyed watching the many that I’ve witnessed.

2 Things I Hate About My Biltmore Annual Pass
1. Being Proactive With Discounts at Shops and Restaurants
Oh, the joys of being an annual pass holder! However, it can be like a secret club that not everyone knows about, including the staff.
I’ve noticed that the awesome discount magic doesn’t always happen automatically. It’s like a game of remembering – gotta have that pass ready when the bill arrives, or be prepared to shout it out at the register.
It’s like a subtle dance where they don’t always take the lead and ask if you’re part of the cool pass holders’ crew.
And here’s the kicker: once the purchase is made, there’s no turning back for that discount magic. So, if you forget to present your pass, you’ll find yourself in the ‘discount-less’ zone. I’ve missed a few discounts as a result.

2. Pass Holder Special Events Fill Up Quick and Many Have an Extra Cost
I’ve been a Biltmore Estate Passholder since 2020 and have yet to be able to attend an exclusive Pass Holder Special event such as an exclusive viewing of a new room or a dinner.
Once I received an invitation to preview a new Biltmore House room before it opened to the general public. I responded the same day to secure my ticket, however, by time I got to check out all of the tickets had been sold out.
There have been several opportunities to attend a special dinner, but those end up being over $100 a ticket to attend.
I’d really like to see more free events that have ample space availability and more events that are under the $100 price tag.
