The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached for maintenance, dredging, and dam projects.
This may affect lake access and usage, but rest assured, the lake will be back to normal by mid to late April.
This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself. Enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season.

Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2024, through March 31st, 2024.
The lake will be lowered approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached for maintenance, dredging, and dam projects.
This may affect lake access and usage, but rest assured, the lake will be back to normal by mid to late April.
This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself. Enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season.
